Yesterday when he came on some wanker behind me shouted "what you clapping him for he's one of the worst players ever to wear the shirt!". Personally i don't think this is true at all. I really rated Impey when he was with us. Yes he made the odd mistake but he always worked hard for the team, wasn't afraid to make a sliding challenge and put a decent cross in too. I remember in the past people slagging the guy off, but i honestly can't believe people would feel that he is one of the worst players to play for us.

I remember away at Spurs when we won 3-2 he was absolutely brilliant. A versatile player who at times did a job, I'd applaud him.

He did beat a player to put that cross in for Muzzy to score that spectacular overhaed kick - although is that a good cross or a bad one? A good cross would of been on muzzy's head.

No less still was a good player for us!

Just about right, I might add he was ok under Taylor, then it started to go wrong when MA arrived. :roll:

more like some people are just utter wankers, i was absolutely delighted the majority of our support applauded Impey and gave a good impression of our club. i always thought Impey was a good player defensively and in attack, probably got more criticism through his actions with the league cup final ticket fiasco, but at the end of the day was a good player. under adams he was not given a fair crack of the whip and left without making a fuss unlike players such as Makin or Sturridge have done, so what some peoples' problem is i havent a clue.

When we played wing backs, he was a pretty decent one for the RWB position, but then with PT, we started doing some 442 and Impey sometimes played RB, his marking was absolutely woeful... nonetheless, he was pretty decent going forward, a little player who sometimes goes "under" players rather than go round them... I remember his cross against which somehow was palmed into the net by the 'keeper, quite funny...
