I like the idea that Kasper only let in 2 of the 6 penalties taken against him.
Probably more difficult against him than say that legend Peter Shilton.

I don't understand the reference to Peter Shilton. Presumably you are not saying that Kasper is in Shilton's class.

Shilton was quite simply the best goalkeeper for any team I have ever seen in my life - admitedly I only saw Banks live in his Stoke years.

Shilts was a great keeper but his record on saving penalties was not too good.
We have yet to see Kaspers prowess as such a penalty saver but his time may come. If there is one in the Cup Tie at Norwich lets hope he will save it.

Oh by the way I put one past Shilts in a Charity penalty event by looking to his left but hitting it to his right, towards the corner. I have yet to take one against Kasper.

Paul Cooper was the best penalty saving keeper I've ever seen. He wasn't especially tall or intimidating but he had the approach of stepping slightly to one side and then indicating that he was going to dive towards the more 'open' side. It totally screwed with so many takers plans and they often ended up softly planting the ball exactly where Cooper wanted them to.

I've never understood why other keepers didn't try something similar.

In terms of Kasper, I think he's the best all round keeper we've had since Shilton (who I never saw play live for us). Kaspers distribution, command, positioning and reactions are outstanding.

You are very modest. If I had scored past Shilton I would be stopping strangers in the street to tell them. I never wear t-shirts but I would have broken that rule to have one with "I scored against Shilton" printed on it.

My lad got it on video but no t-shirt. It was when both him, and me mind you, were in our 50's.

You got ahead of Kevin Keegan.
I am sure I am not the only one who remembers a semi final against Liverpool at Old Trafford. Toshack and Keegan ourplayed Sjoberg and Cross. They created chance after chance but it really seemed as though however brilliantly Keegan played that day he would not be able to score past Shilton.
I seem to remember the Liverpool Kop applauding Shilton. I wonder if they would be so gracious today.

You need only to look at this season for the answer David- I believe Michel Vorm got applause at Anfield.
