I was hoping to watch some of it. Sadly my usual site was having server issue. I then remembered I might actually have access to BT through EE. They were having server/ maintenance issues too TMS was the final port of call. It wasn't the greatest listen. However, you can't judge a wicket until both teams have batted. It's an incredibly green wicket. I'm hoping it rains for 3 days.

I listened to the updates on talksport, we went every couple of minutes...shambles.

They should choose 8 bowlers plus Root, Stokes, and Buttler. The bowlers might get out in single figures, but the top order do that anyway, so what difference will it make.

I suppose we should all be a bit grateful that however badly football is run at least it's not cricket.

Desperation to win a world cup has meant an entire generation of players who can't ****ing play test cricket.

It must be easy for bowlers. Just pick a fielding position that isn't generally occupied during a one day or T20 game & bowl towards it until one of the dozy ****s nicks one. Piece of piss.

Buttler in particular seems to have spent a lot of the last few years standing staring at the slip cordon afer getting out thinking " Why are those blokes standing there? Is that a thing? "

But of course it's all OK since after the greatest ashes series ever, that generated more public interest than the game had seen in decades, the great minds at the top of the game decided to take the Sky money. So now nobody watches it, therefore no ****er cares. Job done.

Can't be arsed with a new thread. I've been watching. Bazball certainly makes for more competitive games. Brilliant stuff.
