With Scowy gone we need someone in to act as back up to MDV(who hasnt got the best injury /fitness record)
Dublin could cover in emergencies but id like to see a new face given the chance t impress for next season.
The 2 previously linked strikers Kirk and Swankie look to be strikers who play off a target man so i doubt it would be one of them.
Have we got any youth/reserve strikers above 5'-6?"

Although I did see an interesting quote from CL on the OS saying the money saved from Scarecrow could go to strengthening the squad.

Unless he meant regular membership to Golds Gym! there could be somebody on the way.

IMO he had a hefty contract clause. As soon as CL saw an opportunity he was gone. I can think of no other explanation for his constance presence on the pitch

I believe that we are still able to sign players from the premiership, just not from the SPL, the window is for not allowed to sign from foreign clubs, we are still able to get players in from the prem. Leeds did it with signing Hulse from WBA.

it means that we in the premiership and SPL cant make any signings. doesnt stop us from letting ppl go- u can sign who u want! (except from hearts, obviously )

I think whether we get anyone in, in an position, is probably something that's going to be waited on for a couple of weeks at least.

1. Gemmill's contract runs out soon
2. Dublin might be off
3. We might get into the next round of the cup....
4. Even if we don't we'll still have the gate money from this round coming in.

So at the moment it is the turn of Tommy et al. but I'm sure Levein is still working behind the scenes.

I would love to see Brett Ormerod from Southampton on loan here, I have always rated him since his Blackpool days.

Wolves recently tried to get him as part of the Henri Camara exchanging his loan deal from Wolves to Celtic to from Wolves to Southampton, but Ormerod turned down the move and decided to fight for a place at Southampton.

Sorry, I had to laugh at that Highland!!! To buy one of them Scowcroft would of had to be on about 20million pounds a year!!! Although Taylor/Elsom gave him the contract.... SO YOU NEVER KNOW!!!! :-x

i believe decision time on who he will bring in will come on sunday, if we beat charlton we will get a few more pennies and probably a half decent striker on loan, if we get beat its dublin/blake....so much hangs on one game!
