About bleeding time.

Celtic defender Bobo Balde has apologised to James Wesolowski for the challenge which broke the Leicester midfielder's leg in the friendly at the Walker's Stadium on Tuesday.

The 17-year-old underwent surgery on Wednesday but will not play again until 2006.

City manager Craig Levein called Balde's tackle "disgraceful, disgusting and malicious" but the Guinea international wants to meet the Australian to apologise in person.

Wesolowski told the Sunday Mail: "Bobo had sent me a couple of text messages and also left a few voicemails to see how I'm getting on.

"He has apologised for the tackle and has assured me it was not intentional.

"Bobo told me he'd like us to meet up in the near future. We might speak over the next few days and try to arrange something.

"He has made the effort to get in touch and sounded genuinely concerned for my well-being. I appreciate the gesture.

"I could be feeling bitter at this moment but these things happen - it is part and parcel of being a footballer.

"I will just need to work hard over the next few months during rehabilitation.

"It will be a long, hard struggle but I want to make sure I bounce back into the first team and return as strong as possible."

why not weso break his leg to make it even?

thats not gonna help anyone is it?!

Hes apologised and good on him for that. Shame it happened in the first place. Lets just all get behind Weso ( in the non-literal sense ) and help him to get back on his feet and playing as soon as possible.

If Wesolowski can forgive and forget then so should we. ;) Personally I might have been less forgiving as this is not the first time it has happened (Balde bad tackles that is) and he still shows no respect to his fellow Professionals as he is yet to clean his act up.
