Am I missing something here, but if a bank can lose close on 5bn Euros and still post ~700m profit then surely this is enough evidence to question their charges etc?

You are missing something - the 700 m is their normal profit before the 5bn. BTW, it's not all bad news, if they lost that amount it means other banks made the same amount. In all likliehood some are UK based, so we've had it away with a load of froggies money.:icon_bigg:icon_wink
