If the declaration of independence stays in place, does Barcelona get thrown out of La Liga?
Worst novel pitch ever. There is, of course, a significant precedent for this to happen
Following the notorious Coalville riots of 2012, and the Coalvillian Declaration of Independence delivered from the top of Bardon Hill on 1st April 2013, Coalville Town were unceremoniously barred from the Northern Premier League, Division One North, and cruelly stripped of their triumph in the Westerby Cup
They were subsequently forced to tout themselves around the country for a League willing to give them sanctuary, and ended up plying their trade in the Isthmian League South Division, only to be excluded from the competition following an unsavoury incident during the away match at Walton Casuals FC.
After a brief stint in the Isle of Man Division Two, the Club returned to the Northern Premier League following the reinstatement of Coalville as part of the UK when the British Government promised extending opening hours for both Greggs and Wetherspoons in Coalville Town Centre - although dissident independence campaigners still congregate around Memorial Square on a Sunday afternoon to smoke foreign cigarettes and drink cheap French wine.
Certainly food for thought there, in my opinion
Seems unlikely.Could Barcelona be kicked out of The Champions League, as Catalonia isn't a member of UEFA?
