I'm glad Bassett has left but I suppose he did an alright job with us. He was pretty loyal and although I think getting rid of him is a step forward I would like to thank him for any effort he did put into our football club.

Certainly seems like a decent bloke and the improvement in the team for 3 of the 4 games was remarkable. He's an easy figure to poke fun at I suppose because he always comes across in interviews as being a bit flustered. His record speaks for itself. Cheers Dave.

I think it was the right move for the club, CL had to have a free hand in running the club abd this is a positive move, shows he is ruthless, to be honest is anybody surprised, Bassett wanted the job so it was obvious he was always going to be surplus to requirements once the new man was unveiled.

Craig Levein has been here two days and already has kicked arse and made a mark on the club...give him a few weeks we might even look like a team!

Feel a bit sorry for Bassett...can't be fun having someone tell you they don't need you.

He might be young but he's got astonishing confidence in his judgement. You need some balls to fling the bloke thats just interviewed you for the job - especially when he's been around the block many more times that you. I think this shows a strength of character that we haven't had since ... well you know when.

No shame on HB. He knows the way it works better than anyone. Credit to him for getting in a bloke that suits the club and not HB. Top man.
