Don't know much about him, isn't he a centre half?

From www.wimbledon-fc.co.uk:

21 year old Ben is a tough tackling player with a lot of potential. A graduate of Arsenal's academy system, he signed for the Dons in March 2003 after a brief trial spell with the club.

A good organiser with excellent distribution of the ball, Ben skippered Arsenal's youth team to FA Youth Cup glory in 2001.

He initially joined the club as a centre-half, but was converted to a holding midfielder midway through last season. Took the captaincy towards the latter stages of the season and will be one of the lynchpins of the team in the 04/05 season.

the captaincy has been given to someone else (NI defender?) so Ben can concentrate on playing.....ie he'll be sold soon...

If we have an offer accepted on him be prepared for the mandatory 10 days waiting, while Portsmouth,Sunderland talk to him after matching our offer...when does the season start?

Holding midfielder who could also cover at centre half would make a lot of sense

Have we been linked to him or is it just guess work?
Certainly looks a good prospect and the type of player MA promised to bring in!
We certainly need a holding/ball winning midfield player, especially if Tiatto misses the first few games!
