The last time City won their first three games was in 1922-23.They will now be trying to emulate the achievement of the 1922-23 side.
Playing in the old Division Two, the equivalent of the Championship, they began their campaign with a 5-4 victory at Stockport.
They followed up with a 3-0 win over Rotherham at Filbert Street and a 2-0 success in the return clash with Stockport.
However, City's last eight league visits to Ipswich have brought one victory and eight defeats.
The Mercury obviously can't add up!!!!!
