Sounded a great game (at least second half) and the commentators were good for sure. Looking forward for more.

I think the defence needs suring up.. we might be okay when we have Kisnorbo back in action but it's a little concerning so far that we can't keep even non league teams out..

we sounded pretty good, sounded like cracking goals. that stringer fellas a right lunatic lol

I can't be arsed to do individual player reviews so here's an overview:

Firstly for Homer, the pitch looked genuinly very good.

Hobbs looked shaky first half, just needs a bit of composure.
Adams looked very good as did Dyer and Fryatt looked as good if not better than his best.
Tunchev was very solid.
Gradel was a class above and I am very excited about him this season.

2 smashing goals from us, but we still can't defend against Phillips. We held our own though and the 3 goals came from the only 3 real chances they had. Mattock left his man for the first and probably should have been on Phillips for the 3rd.

Not as worried about the defence as I was, would feel better with an older head in there with Tunchev though in the main, though Morrison looked fairly decent.

Based on tonight alone I think key players for this season will be Gradel, Adams and Fryatt, with probably Dyer in there as well.

Hobbs and Morrison both looked dodgy, and if by tonights showing should be kept well away from first team football for a while.

Adams seems to be a good signing and the bulgarian will be a main part of our defense. Dyer another good player too.
Ashley Chambers looked very quick, as did Gradel, but DJ Campbell can fcuk off. The lad in yellow boots seemed solid and quick as well

Big downside tonight, I bumped into Duzza and Lazzer, both pissed up and on the pull

I thought DJ looked like he wanted to run but couldn't figure out where to run to, terrible reading of the game.

Yellow boots = Gilbert looked good behind Gradel

Just got back, very encouraging going forward. Defense was a shambles at times!! I will repeat what I said a week ago, I would be much happier with another experienced centre back in the team.

Hendo - Not much he could do for the goals 6.5

Gilbert - Fast and keen... too keen though and was too close to his man and got done a few times. Had the pace to make up for it though. 6.5
Tunchev - Best centre back we have, has got a nice bullet header on him. At fault for the third, but it was a great finish. Not many like Mr Phillips in league two. 7
Hobbs - Looked unsteady, lost lots of header, mis placed balls and got done big time for the first goal. 5.5
Mattock - Got past his man, some really nice play at times. Not sure if he was at fault for the 2nd... seemed like the fingers were pointed at him... I was the other end though. 7.5

Adams - 6.5 solid, has a footballing head should do well.
Oakley - 6.25 Was better in the 2nd half
Kishishev -6.25 Solid
Dyer - 6 Not much contributed

Howard - 5 Did little, was on the ground most of the game
Fryatt - Lovely play, great goal... definite starter 8

Morrison - 6 A bit like Hobbs
Gradel - Energy, pace, willing, crowd pleaser 8
Porter - Great goal 7 (would have been 6.5 were it not for the goal)
Chambers - Missed a couple of easy chances 6.5
DJ - 7.25 Thought he looked bright and willing, some neat play and linked well with Gradel... A must to start with Fryatt.

My enjoyment of the match, especially the second half, was completely spoilt by those who were sitting around me.

However, I was impressed by Adams and thought that he and Fryatt played very well together.

I must have had a different view.

I thought Hobbs and Tunchev looked a very good partnership. Morrison was dodgy though.
Dyer did nothing and Gilbert was awful.
Fryatt played well and not just because of his goal, his overall play was good.

Weren't sitting near me were you? Kop end near the corner? Some proper twats on the walk back to narborough road. Thought it was hilarious to pull some blokes shorts down, 3 times! Not to mention banging on car windows and just being general dicks. Not going to miss not seeing people like that next year.

henderson - looked okay, hard to judge the performance as he didnt lots of action buit his kicking is much better

gilbert - i was very unimpressed, he dosent have a very good touch and never really got forwards

tunchev - seemed sound, could have done better on ratboy's second goal

hobbs - won plenty in the air, looks most likely too play regulrly with tunchev

mattock - had a good first half and is looking better defensivly and linked up well with porter in the second

adams - quiet but kept good width and put a couple of ok crosses in

oakley - very wooden first half but looked better in the second next to weso

kish - worked his nuts off and used the ball quite well at times but lacks any composure in the air and with his first touch

dyer - like adams had a quiet 45 but seemed to be trying to get on the outside of the defender and be direct down the wing. owner of the skiniest pair of legs on the planet

howard - put himself about but still didnt win enough headers, linked up okay with fryatt on the midfield on the floor

fryatt - scored a belter and looks much fitter, best performance of the strikers used

morrisson - little shaky, won alot of headers, but he, like the reat of the defence went a.w.o.l for their second of the corner, looked very inexperienced compered to tunchev

gradel - very quick feet and got some crosses in too. he set up porters goal after some good work. one to get excited about imo

weso - sound enough, missed a great chance at 1-1

porter - looked lively and scored a very good volley, didnt put an awful lot of ball in but tbf we were very right sided in the second

chambers - missed a one on one, very little to say apart from that

campbell - tries to do far to much and looks like his lacking the confidence just let go of the ball and have a bloody shot, but quick and some dirct runs, just no end product! wouldnt mind seeing him play next to fryatt

hope that help those who didnt get to go :)
