Others have stated at the end of last season that our achilles heal was our defence. Faes and Vesty were horribly exposed in the championship and how our board thought it would hold up in the Premiership is beyond me.

Today highlighted there is gulf in quality with our team and the rest of the league. Our recruitment has been woeful and is probably a result of change of manager?

today was embarrassing 😳 there are rumours that the coach today asked Cooper for advice inexplicable if true.

why was the under 23 manager not used for this fixture.

Well these are jolly times aren't they?

Fact is, we've been this crap all season it just hasn't been reflected in the scorelines until now. It will be much more often from now on. The best thing Ruud can do is try to instill some mental strength to this squad as it currently has zero, same as we saw in the relegation season.

Wolves, Ipswich & even Saints have all improved in the last month. We've got worse.

We're currently the worst team in this league. If this insane hail mary doesn't work we'll be spending next summer discussing points deductions same as this year. Only this time we'll get one & it'll be massive as the EFL want our bollocks on a platter.

If we don't stay up this season we could be looking at L1 again in 18 months time.

Well there goes my record of never seeing us lose at Brentford

that same Vestergaard who was exposed with pace over and over again, but because the standard of finishing was poor in the championship we got away with it, yes that vestergard.

We were ****ing awful all over the pitch. It was a nonsense of a selection from the outset and it wasn't really a surprise to see us torn a new one.

They looked completely defeated after Brentford's equaliser. All of that fight we saw in the second half of the Spurs and Southampton games has been completely destroyed and now we are just going through the motions.

The only thing that will keep us from plummeting back down to The Championship is a strong January transfer window and I think we all know how that will go.

The recruitment in the summer was horrific. Ayew, Bobby, Edouard, El Khannouss, Okoli... None of these look like Premier League footballers. Ayew has done better than I thought but let's be honest, he's average at best.

It was never going to change overnight but the two in charge today were just playing FM. And really ****ing badly.

You understand that you're making this up, right?

He was literally in the Sky Championship team of the season.

The job RvN has to do is to work with what he's got.

There is no point crying about the state of the squad. We might be able to do a bit in January but it won't be much.

There are some obvious ways that we can improve. We do have some good players but they're either playing in wrong positions or being expected to do things that they're not good at.

Systems and tactics are luxuries right now. We need to get a team out that have some belief that if they do their best, there is a decent chance that the team will get a result.

Coady has just spoken after the game and talked about how the players have had a couple of meetings this week and have to take responsibility. The players are desperate to meet RvN tomorrow and get to work.

It's all on him now.

I watched week in week out Vestergaard being left for dead, thankfully most of the strikers missed. Admittedly Maresca played a high game probably because most of the strikers are not ruthless in the championship, that is why they are there.

your whole analysis is based on the fact he was in the team of the season?

Vesty attributes are passing and dealing with crosses. imo Maresca ( if he had stayed) would have looked for a replacement for him.

By far the worst performance of the season.

Embarrassing and completely shameful.

Sounds like the players are called in tomorrow which is absolutely the essential. Ruud needs to lay the law down double quick.
