We're.
Too.

So, do Vardy and Nacho start, or do we just blitz them Keegan style with Vardy, Nacho and Daka up top?

Not Keegan style. He used more than one defender...

Schmeichel

Evans

Soumare Tielemans

Lookman Maddison KDH Barnes

Iheanacho Daka Vardy

any more shooting power and we'd be signing Alec Baldwin

I vaguely remember a game a few years back when we were looking for goals and had four (I think) up front.

It didn't work as the ball never got to them.

Referee: Simon Hooper.
Assistants: Simon Bennett, Derek Eaton.
Fourth official: Darren England.
VAR: Lee Mason.
Assistant VAR: Timothy Wood.

Albrighton is out for 2-3 weeks following that idiotic tackle in Moscow.

Castagne (hamstring), Evans (back) and Tielemans (back) all being assessed but all expected to be available. Perez fine after illness.

No other returnees but Justin due to resume full training imminently and Ndidi should be back after next international break.

Head-to-head

  • Brentford are winless in seven matches against Leicester since beating them 3-2 in the second tier in March 1953 (D1, L6).
  • The Foxes have won each of their last five matches away to the west London side, including FA Cup victories in January 2020 and 2021.
Brentford

  • Both of the Bees' Premier League defeats have come at the Brentford Community Stadium, as have five of the seven goals they have conceded.
  • They have lost two of their past three home league games, as many defeats as in their previous 24 (W13, D9).
  • Thomas Frank's team are at risk of losing back-to-back home league fixtures for the first time since a run of three straight defeats between November and December 2018.
  • Brentford have hit the woodwork eight times in the Premier League this season, three more than any other side. Bryan Mbeumo has done so on six occasions - four more than any other player.
Leicester City

  • Leicester are vying to win consecutive league matches for the first time since April.
  • The Foxes have conceded two goals in each of their previous four top-flight games.
  • Brendan Rodgers' side have won their last four top-flight fixtures away to newly-promoted sides.
  • Their shot conversion rate in the Premier League this season is 19.7% (excluding blocked efforts), a figure bettered only by Chelsea's 23.2%.
  • Kasper Schmeichel has played in each of Leicester's previous 122 Premier League games, while Youri Tielemans has featured in the last 64 - they are the two longest current unbroken runs of consecutive appearances in the competition.
  • Kelechi Iheanacho has been directly involved in 16 Premier League goals since the start of March, scoring 12 and assisting four - only Mohamed Salah, with 18 goal involvements, has a better record in this period.

Perhaps we might start scoring a bit earlier in matches to get on the front foot?

Anyone going to the game and is into real ale the Express Tavern by Kew Bridge station has a good selection and a big beer garden

Barnes should be no where near the starting 11 imo he just doesn't work hard enough for the team. We must come out of the blocks fast, if we do this I am confident we will blow them away in the first 45 mins.
Same team that started against Manure with the same work rate, bring Daka on with 25 mins to go probably for Vardy to keep him fresh.
Brentford are riding a crest if a wave on euphoria from last season and are due a spanking, hopefully we will hand them one .

Ah, we've forgotten how fantastic Barnes was before his injury. Gotcha.

Stop talking out of your chocolate starfish.

He was exceptional for a period of time. Quite unique in his style. A real line breaker. I'll love it when he regains his form.

Who gets dropped for a player that has shown nothing so far this season though?
