You know it makes sense

Head-to-head

  • Brighton are winless in all seven Premier League meetings, failing to score in five of them (D2, L5).
  • Leicester have beaten Brighton twice this season, in the Premier League and FA Cup. They have not earned three wins against the same top-flight team in a season since 1963.
Brighton & Hove Albion

  • Brighton have suffered back-to-back Premier League defeats, as many as in their previous 12 matches.
  • They could lose three successive league fixtures for the first time since November 2019.
  • Albion have recorded 66 shots, including 20 on target, in their past three games, but only scored once.
  • The Seagulls have earned only 10 points at home, the joint-worst record in the division.
  • Brighton have missed three of their eight Premier League penalties this season. Pascal Gross has missed two of his last four top-flight spot-kicks.
  • Gross has created 242 chances in the Premier League since Brighton's promotion in 2017-18, second only to Manchester City's Kevin de Bruyne in that time.
Leicester City

  • Leicester could go three consecutive Premier League games without a win for the first time this season.
  • They are unbeaten in 12 away matches in all competitions (W7, D5), just two short of the club record set in December 2015.
  • Forward Kelechi Iheanacho has scored two goals in his past three away starts. He also scored a 90th-minute winner in Leicester's FA Cup victory at Brighton in February.
  • Jamie Vardy has scored just one goal in his past 13 appearances in all competitions.

  • Gross has created 242 chances in the Premier League since Brighton's promotion in 2017-18, second only to Manchester City's Kevin de Bruyne in that time.

Interesting stat

Disgusting really, especially when you consider how few goals they have scored.

Lawro (****), has is down for a 2-0 defeat. All we need now to cement a win for us is BN putting a few quid on Brighton.

Always worked well when we have tried it in the past.
And in the past it wasn’t the right thing to do. But as the game is in the here and now (well the future but you know what I mean) the past is not relevant. In the past I never would have dropped Emile Heaney but I don’t want him starting upfront against Brighton (although given out options we could do worse).

1-0 to Brighton. Goal kick from Kasper gets a freak deflection from a low flying seagull.

Andy Beake.

good flexible formation with the below.
Start out 4-2-3-1 but can drop into 352 if needed.
If we can grind out a result in this game and send us into the Sheff Utd game in good spirits it will be great. Brighton are a good side so i think we just set up strong and see if we can eradicate mistakes like Choudhury's (by not playing him). We have the quality to nick games like this 1 or 2 if we set up organised and competitive. as a default.

Schmeichel
Amartey Fofana Soyuncu Castagne
Ndidi Tielemans
Pereira Iheanacho Albrighton
Vardy

We have another chance to go second with a win here and the manchester derby tomorrow which is why we're nailed on for a loss isn't it?

Brighton have won one of their last 17 home PL matches (1-0 Spurs).

They've not beaten us since we were pissed up after winning the Championship title in 2014 (1-4).

No PL side has picked up fewer points at home this season than Brighton (10).

Meanwhile, we have the best away record in the PL this season (31 points from 14 matches).

We'll win this comfortably. Nothing can possibly go wrong.
