I apologise if there is a thread on this, though I've had a look and there doesn't appear to be.

This article really bothers me. If, as it suggests, there are clubs interested in obtaining Canero's signature, why did we not attempt to get even a nominal fee for him! We spent 250,000 on this guy and got nothing in return.

IMO its just his agent trying to drum up interest in his client. I cannot believe there are decent championship sides interested in taking him on. The truth of this will be seen when the club he signs for is reveiled.....

We could have potentially got a fee out of a championship side, or Hearts in the SPL, yet paying off his contract and letting him go for free despite paying £250,000 for him doesn't bother anyone?

He is use to playing with most of their team in the Leicester Reserves so he should gel quite well.
