The Mercury bringing together a few things for this article speculating on the plans to expand the east side of the stadium.

In the embedded video, there are grainy images of how the new stand will look. To add 10,000 seats to our capacity by extending one stand is going to mean that stand is going to be huge - holding circa. 20,000 people. This would be more than double the size of the old Carling Stand that dwafted the rest of Filbert St.

I hope this is true and that they can get on with it so that the extra capacity is available for 2018/19.

I also hope that we can ensure that our capacity is just a bit bigger than Villa Park (42,682) because I think that would mean that our stadium would be the biggest in England between London and Manchester.

It's not all about size.

So I hear.

I used to think that size didn't matter. And then my wallpaper fell off my walls.

.

Did you use the wrong size glue?

or was it the colour?

seems to be broken but I assume this would lead to an upward extension? How would this work with the South/family stand? Just asking out of pure ignorance of any architectural knowledge!

Looking at the type of structure in place at the King Power it should be possible to elevate the stands with in a timescale that would not disrupt too many games.Maybe play our first two/three home game after the summer break. The Club will of course have looked at the viable options on this matter, the fact nothing has been done would suggest the Club are happy for now with the situation as is!

Came across these images of what looks like a possible capacity extension.
