This season the BBC have won the rights to show highlights for both the Football League and Carling Cup and the Silkmen's tie with Leicester has been chosen to be shown in the first round as a full BBC highlights package.

Leicester City visit the Moss Rose on Wednesday 12th August at 7.45pm, and the game will be the Silkmen's first home match of the campaign.

So, could there be a shock on the cards?

The Silkmen defeated Championship opposition at this stage last season as Blackpool were beaten 2-0.

Bolton Wanderers and Barnsley have also been first round victories for the Silkmen, so perhaps the BBC believe there is the possibility of another giant-killing here in Macclesfield.
