Belgian defender Timothy Castagne has left Leicester City Football Club to join Fulham for an undisclosed fee, subject to league approval.

The 27-year-old, who helped the Foxes to Emirates FA Cup and Community Shield victories in 2021, joined the Club from Atalanta in September 2020.

He made 112 appearances in all competitions and scored five goals, as well as playing a key role in City reaching the semi-final of the UEFA Europa Conference League in May 2022.

He leaves Leicester City with the best wishes of everyone at the Club for his future career.

We won't miss him will we.

Stupid signing from day one to replace a left back with a right back.

Did okay without being anything special for a while.

Then actively wanting out for two years becoming another half interested waste of time.

See ya.

I am predicting Taylor Harwood-Bellis to be bought with the money.

No hard feelings towards Castange - had some very good performances, was fairly reliable cover for both full backs but average for us overall.

FA Cup winner and the goal against Wolves will mean he'd get a round of applause if he played at the KP again.

Good move for all involved really.

Will always be associated with being part of the relegation team.

No tears here.

£11million is a very good fee, plus a big wage off the books

Nice

Started well but yeah, quickly became convinced he should be at a bigger club and seemed to become very vulnerable to marking the far post after his head injury.

It’s weird to feel quite so relieved about getting someone out of the door but it means a more suitable player arriving now or in Jan.

Relieved this one is done. Think it was holding us back quite a bit.

Really need to find solutions for Daka and Soumare now.

Good move for all involved.

He was a bit of an odd player for us really wasn't he? We needed a left back and instead signed him, a right back. But then he often got to play at right back anyway because our other two were always injured.

Had a couple of very good games early on, but didn't maintain that level. He was rarely bad but rarely good - I think he's best described as steady.

But seemed to be another one of those whose head dropped and didn't have the fighting spirit when it was needed.

Won't be missed. Probably a decent signing for Fulham. But £11m up front is a very decent deal for him, especially with his wages gone too.

No ill will to him, but no real fond farewells either. Very forgettable player.

If that's the outcome then selling Castange will be a very good move.

Who’s Castange?
