What happened when the 2 new boys came on did we go as follows;-

Pieman
Maybury Dabizas Dublin Stewart
Gemmill Williams Joey
MDV Connolly Scowy

or did Scowy drop to midfield?
Did it improve things?

It seemed to me that Scowy played a bit deeper, but centrally not on the wings. Wouldn't have said midfield, but deeper striker

When MDV and Maybury came on we looked more balanced as a team, and for the last fifteen minutes we played some good football, we attacked, and passed very well I thought. I also think that the only thing that prevents us from playing decent football at home is confidence. We as a crowd need to do a lot better in terms of getting the players up for it when they look nervous.

As a crowd we are far too negative, and the players reflect this in their performance. Booing, does not help!

I didn't hear any booing until the end though  And even then it wasn't that bad.

IMO De Vries wil be the perfect foil for Connolly, a lot of ppl around me were sayin this and you could see it.

Agreed! His size and physical presence is clearly intimidating, and he isn't exactly slow either. He held the ball up well and was unlucky not to score that volley late on, he seemed to scuff it, but if he'd hit it cleanly it would have most definately tested their keeper.

Him and Connolly up front for me. I think they are both clever enough to create chances for each other. I think our biggest problem so far has been inability to create chances that can kill off games. With goals comes the confidence we need.

Is anyone else a bit more enthusiastic about the type of team we could be next year. We seem to be getting players with potential who are about the right age.

Long may it continue :D

Just proves how sound doesn't travel, I only heard the kop twice in the whole game and that was very faintly.
