El Dude Brother.
Looking back, in our hay day under MON, Charlton were a similar club to us. True they came up a bit earlier but they were and still are a stable Premiership club.

However, they havent had quite such good times as we had in the Premiership. My question to you is - If you had a straight choice between the glory years we had under MON, winning cups, europe etc and the eventual relegation and administration or sustained mid table Premiership mediocrity. Which would you choose?

I chose us because it just doesn't look like anything big and exciting is going to happen to Charlton in the next 2 seasons or so. I think Charlton fans now take being in the premiership for granted so just being 7th, 8th, or 9th every season must be pretty boring.

With us however, I think Levein will take us back up and it will be good fun although it will be hard to stay up but lets not get too ahead of ourselves.

The journeys that you take in life are what define you as a person. In the same way the journey that City has taken in our generation is what defines us, yes it has had a mix of highs and agonising lows, but I wouldn't change that, it is who we are and what we support.

I'd rather taste glory one day and crash out the next, than never ever take a chance.

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss...

This my friends is what it means to be Leicester City...long may we find our new beginnings

The Poll went as I thought it would. The point being, its not all doom and gloom. we had some good times and I for one think they may just be on their way back. :smt041

i keep hearing about how curbishley is as good a manager as MON, idiots. curbishley has won nothing, and has spent considerably more than MON did. i would take the success we've had over most things.

Very true that Silver and I agree whole heartedly with Kipling.....his Vienese Slices aren't bad either.

Just to make it perfectly clear, as I know how poetic my response was to that question a few days ago....LEICESTER 'TIL I DIE :smt007

What a result today, we are back!

Something I found quite funny...

Levein said he would like us to follow Charlton's example, be promoted and manage to establish ourselves as a Premiership club as they have.
I remember a couple of years ago, when Charlton were promoted into the Premier, Curbishley actually said the same thing, that he wanted his team to be like Leicester and establish themselves.

How times have changed ;)
