I have just been speaking to MML Customer Services about various things, including travel back to Leicester after the game on 31st October.

Please be warned that after the game trains back to Leicester will be affected by engineering works. The latest train to use the direct line through Market Harborough will leave St Pancras at 22:00 - too early for City fans. The two trains after that will be diverted at Kettering and travel via Corby and Melton Mowbray, entering Leicester station from the north. The 23:15 departure from St Pancras is not due to reach Leicester until 01:32.

Now that you've read it, you can ignore the above and go to post #13.

I Assume there is no train from Leicester to Hinckleydash at that late hour either?

Could I change at Kettering for a train on a different route to Hinckley?

Don’t know if im using the train but would like to keep my options open.

You won't be able to change at Kettering for another route...there's just one way in and one way out!!

If you wanted a different route to Hinckley you could go via Nuneaton. But there's no chance of getting a train back to Hinckley after the match anyway, whichever route you take.

Even if the trains were running as normal, you wouldn't get a connection to Hinckley off the 23:15 from St Pancras.

There is no way of getting back all the way to Hinckley after this match on either of the StP or Euston routes.

Thought that may be the case. Cheers guys.

Just had a phone call from MML Customer Services to say that the arrangements for the 31st have been changed. There is some good and some bad news.

First the good news - the train will no longer be routed via Corby and Melton.

And a bit more good news - arrival in Leciester is due to be slightly earlier at 01:22

And now for the bad news - the train will terminate at Market Harborough and customers will be bussed from there to Leicester (and points north thereof).
