Milan offer this boy a contract, i think scoring 18 goals for a club like Colchester is great success, i think he could do the job here, he is a great target man

Manager Geraint Williams insists Colchester will do their best to keep striker Chris Iwelumo at the club.

Iwelumo, 28, has scored 18 goals this season but is out of contract at Layer Road this summer and thus able to leave on a free transfer.
"Chris is in negotiations with us. But he's well within his rights to see what he can get and do the best for his family," Williams told BBC Essex.
"He's had a fantastic season - we understand his situation."
Williams added: "We want to do what's best for him and the club as well." Iwelumo's former club Stoke is reported to be among those interested in him.

He's a donkey. His current team they play around him with an extremely good striker partner alongside him. I seen him play for Stoke about 4 years ago, he was dogshite when the team wasnt built around him.

Agreed, I seen him away at Stoke once and he almost managed to clear hit the ball out of the ground when he was one on one with our keeper. Still laugh about that to this very day!

he scored 18 goals which is really good for this league, and 4 years ago is completey different to him playing today

He's twenty-eight and has one half decent season in his career, next to the leagues top scorer...no thanks

that one half decent season could see him scoring 18 goals for leicester city and getting us promoted then i wont be complaining

With a considerable amount penalities, he's a lower league journeyman whose had a good season. He had to go to Germany to get a club a couple of years ago and he cant break for the Scottish team for some reason

If we are talking lower league journeyman, why not sign Tony Thorpe, Jamie Forrester, Glynn Hurst.

Anyone remember him playing against us for York in the FA Cup? He missed an absolute sitter in an one-on-one.

Ade Akinbiyi once score 17 goals in a season in this division. :icon_roll

is that before we took him out of this division and made him our most expensive signing?
