Interesting survey from Barclaycard - I see the Taylor effect is getting to Palace fans.

I love it when "deluded" is spelt with an "O"

I want promotion, but I think top 10 willl be a massive improvement.

However, if we sign Danny Murphy I think 5th is a reasonable expectation as we'll have the best midfield in the league.

Yep, got some at work - they can't stand him. I confess it is good fun watching the warehouse manager's face become more and more doleful as he details his team's many failings. What's most amusing is that this is the first time their odd chairman has decided to stick by an under-achieving manager!

anyone could have predicted them dingles would be top of this kind of survey.

Because they are football fans, it's what football fans do.

In fact, thinking about it logically. The way the survey was conducted probably involved picking ten fans from each team and asking them to rate out of 10 how optimistic they are about their club this season.

So really, Wolves on average could have scored 9.4/10 and Scunny on average could have scored 7.5/10. It says more about the set of people they interviewed (how optimistic they are in reality) than how they actually rate their teams.

Hazz, you've just given this whole survey more thought than anybody else in the world has, including the people who carried it out.

Go & have a lie down for yourself & just remind yourself that it is all a load of complete & utter bollocks.

a few Reasons to get excited about this season:

Our Manager actually has somes b*llocks, they may end up being on his head, but at least they are there.

we've spent more cash than any time in the last 5 years.

we've sold sh*tloads of season tickets and can expect a bit of an atmosphere at the Walkers for a change (at least for a while)

we've got two decent right wingers: kaebi and newton - both with pace.

we've got some hard bastards with a track record in the centre of the park, with some cash for another one to come.

we've got four or five strikers already. 3 good ones Hume, campbell and Fryatt, a dutchman who at least looks interested now and two young massive ones in the reserve (not to mention a youth england international back from injury) plus we are trying to sign another one for a decent sum.

we've got 3 decent centre backs, a future england left back and a new RB Chambers who is solid and not a tit like Maybury

Less than any season for years.
