He's said he's made an offer to a player. What more do you expect him to say?

If he gives away who the player is it could alert other clubs and stop the deal going through.

Why do we always have to read some hidden meaning into everything? Try taking these and other comments coming out of the club at face value - they are mostly true in my experience, and the lack of conspiracy theories will make you feel better about life in general. :icon_bigg

I agree Glyn, but I think a lot of it boils down to the uncertainty and speculation surrounding the club, it is making people twitchy.

As for the August deadline, it was a bit of a panic, last day deals and all that, but to be fair to Levein, it looks likely that he will try to avoid another repeat of that sort of scenario, I would imagine he will want his business completed fairly early on this time around and then concentrate on the job in hand.
