Should we manage to beat the drop - and that is a massive should, the only way forward is to start from scratch. MM needs to sack everyone from all of the players (and don't be starting arguments about how Fryatt has promise or McAuley can be world class one day, because they are all fecking shiite and if you step back and smell the flowers you will realize that too) to the fecking tea lady. There is a serios pox on our club that can only be removed by an exterminator. In order to rid a house of cockroaches you have to rip open the cupboards and spray everything and everyone until they are either dead or gone. The same goes for City. I love them (sometimes as much as my wife) but if they ever want me to play again they better ... Thoughts?

Thank you

Long time no post. :icon_bigg ;) :023:

I think if you honestly expect wholesale changes this summer then you are an idiot

It would be stupid to sack every single player.

That means the new manager will have to bring in 22-odd new players, MM's funds will not stretch enough, firstly for all the pay offs to the old players, and then the transfer fees, signing on fees, and compensation fees for all these new players.

Also, you are forgetting this is a football club, there are friendships and partnerships, groups of players that get on better with each other than others etc. As a new player coming into a club it is comforting to be introduced, to have your new players guide you into feeling part of the team.

If we sacked every single player at the club, we would have a brand new squad and manager... but nobody would know anything about each other, or the city, or the club.

Ballack and Shevchenco are constantly having their excuses made for them because they need time to 'gel' into the Chelsea team, think how disorganised we would be if we truly did start from scratch. It would have to be one hell of a manager to get 22 players unknown to each other playing like a team in a month or so of pre season!

Thank you

They are contracted players, not PAYE employees.
Not even Milan could afford to do that.

My own experiences - I have been a member of three different football clubs for 7-8 years.
But we're not talking about disrupting your club. Can I have an example please where you feel that splitting any 2 players up at Leicester City would be detrimental to the team?

It's hardly a relevant question - the proposal was for the whole lot to be kicked out.

Bonkers idea.

The problem has been a lack of physical fitness, match preparation and motivation as much as lack of ability. If a new manager can fix the first three problems (and this is basically what a manager's job is) then you can't tell me that a team consisting of Henderson, Stearman, MacAuly, Kisnorbo, a new left-back, a new right-wing, Wesolowski, a new central midfielder, Levi Porter, Hume, Fryatt wouldn't be a very good team for which ever division we play in next season. There is plenty of dead wood, true, and anyone not on the list above (Douglas, Maybury, AJ, Jarrett, Newton, Yeates, Hammond, Horsefield, etc.) should be encouraged to leave- thankfully we can get rid of those awful loan signings quickly, they've been an absolute waste of time, some may need paying off to go though.

If the new manager can fill those slots, and can get better players to move other players onto the subs bench, we'll do well though- so bring on Paul Ince!

I can't give you that example as none of us train with the team each day, therefore I drew from my own experience and common sense to realise that if you bring in 22 players unknown to each other they are not going to instantly strike up partnerships off and on the field - therefore affecting the performance and being detrimental to the team.
