What is the Promotion?
To celebrate their sponsorship of the Football League, Coca-Cola is offering football Fans the chance to become a local hero by winning a player for their club. One prize winner will win £250,000 for their chosen football club to spend on player transfers and wages as well as a £10,000 cash prize for themselves. There is also a pair of Football League and Scottish Premier League match tickets for the 2005 / 06 season to be given away every hour from 08.03.05 to 26.05.05.
What product is the promotion available on?
This promotion is communicated on special promotional packs of ‘Coca-Cola’, ‘Coca-Cola’ Cherry and ‘Coca-Cola’ Vanilla. However, the promotion is not linked to purchase and therefore Fans do not need to purchase packs to enter.
Where can I find promotional packs?
Promotional packs should be available in supermarkets and other outlets between March-May 2005.
Is there any age restriction to enter the promotion?
This promotion is only open to Fans aged 12 years or over. All prize winners aged under 16 years will require parental consent before claiming their prize.
Who can I call if I am having problems participating in this promotion?
A promotional helpline number has been set up to deal with promotional queries. The number is 0870 900 8637.
Can Fans who are not residents of GB, Isle of Man or Channel Islands participate?
No. This promotion is only open to Fans aged 12 years or over who are residents of Great Britain, Isle of Man and Channel Islands only (Isle of Man and Channel Islands residents can enter via website only) excluding employees of Coca-Cola Great Britain, Coca-Cola Enterprises Limited, their families, agencies, or anyone else directly connected with the promotion.

What product is the promotion available on?

Fans can enter ONCE per day during the promotional period via the entry route of your choice.
When will Fans be notified if they are a winner?
The major prize winner will be notified by mobile phone on either the 27th, 28th or 29th May 2005. In order for the prize winner to be confirmed, they will need to be able to answer their mobile phone on these days.
Winners of the Football League and Scottish Premier League match tickets will be notified, by text or e-mail, by 6pm on the day after their entry is received and given details on how to claim their prize.
What if the Fan cannot answer their phone when contacted?
Unfortunately Coca-Cola cannot take responsibility for not being able to contact the potential prize winner. Coca-Cola reserves the right to redraw if the prize winner cannot be contacted.
HOW TO ENTER VIA TEXT MESSAGE
How can Fans enter the promotion via text message?
To enter by text, all Fans need to do is text in the word player, followed by the full name of their Football League or Scottish Premier League club, to 80089.
How will Fans know if their entry has been received?
Fans will receive a confirmation message by return text thanking them for their entry. Sending a text message is not proof of receipt of entry. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any messages that are lost and/or delayed or which cannot be sent due to lack of network coverage, or for any other reason beyond it’s control.
How much will the text messages Fans send to Coca-Cola cost them?
Text messages will not cost more than between 10-12p. Charges are dependent on your network operator. Fans will only be charged for text messages you send.
What should a Fan do if they have not received a confirmation text?
Confirmation should be instant; however, there may be delays due to heavy network traffic. Please allow 24 hours for confirmation to arrive. If a Fan has any queries, they should call the promtoional helpline on 0870 900 8637.
HOW TO ENTER VIA THE WEBSITE
How can Fans enter the promotion via the website?
To enter via the website, Fans should log on to
www.coca-colafootball.co.uk and follow the directions to the promotional page on the website, where they will be required to enter their mobile phone number.
How will Fans know if their entry has been received?
Fans will receive a pop up confirmation message on screen, thanking them for their entry. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any messages that are lost and delayed or which cannot be sent due to lack of network coverage, or for any other reason beyond it’s control.
Do Fans need an e-mail address to enter on-line?
Yes. To enter on-line Fans must have a valid e-mail address.
Do Fans need a mobile phone number to enter on-line?
Yes. To enter on-line Fans must have a valid mobile phone number. Fans will need to be contactable on this mobile phone on the 27th, 28th and 29th May 2005.
Can Fans change their e-mail address contact if they want?
No. To participate on-line Fans must have a permanent, valid e-mail address that they can use for the duration of the promotion.

THE PRIZE
What are the promotional prizes?
There is 1 major prize that consists of: - 1 x £250,000 to be placed in a Football League transfer account for the chosen football club which can be spent on player transfers and wages only
- 1 x £10,000 cash prize for the winning Fan
There are also 1920 secondary prizes to be won that consist of a pair of match tickets to a Football League or Scottish Premier League match in the 2005 / 06 season.
Match Ticket Winners who enter a team that gets promoted to the Premier League, relegated to the Conference or relegated from the Scottish Premier League to the Scottish Football League will still receive match tickets for their respective clubs.
Main Prize
Which teams can Fans select in the promotion?
The promotion is open to all clubs within the English Football League and the Scottish Premier League during the 2004 / 05 season (please see appendix A).
Fans can not choose a team from the Premiership, what should they do?
The promotion is not open to clubs from the English Premiership. Fans should choose their favourite team from the leagues available and enter the promotion with them.
Fans can not choose a team from the Conference, what should they do?
The promotion is not open to clubs from the English Conference. Fans should choose their favourite team from the leagues available and enter the promotion with them.
Fans can not choose a team from the Scottish Football League, what should they do?
Unfortunately, the Scottish Football League did not want to be a part of this promotion. Fans should choose their favourite team from the leagues available and enter the promotion with them.
A team in the Premier League has been relegated by March / April, are they eligible for the promotion?
No. Only clubs in the Football League and Scottish Premier League at the beginning of the 2004 / 05 season are eligible for the promotion.
A team in the Conference has been promoted by March / April, are they eligible for the promotion?
No. Only clubs in the Football League and Scottish Premier League at the beginning of the 2004 / 05 season are eligible for the promotion.
What’s included in the prize?
- 1 x £250,000 for the chosen football club
- 1 x £10,00 cash prize for the winning Fan
- An opportunity to meet the club, possibly the club chairman and / or manager
- A trip to the Coca-Cola Championship Play-Off final, where the prize winner will be officially announced live on Sky Sports

When will the prize draw be made?
The main prize draw will be made on the 27th May 2005. The winner will then be announced, live on Sky Sports, at the Coca-Cola Championship Play Off final on the 30th May 2005.
How will Fans know if they have won?
All participants must ensure that they are contactable at any time on the 27th, 28th and 29th May 05 on the same mobile number provided on entry. Coca-Cola reserves the right do redraw the prize if the major prize winner cannot be contacted on their mobile phone.
What if a Fan cannot be contacted?
All participants must ensure that they are contactable on at any time on the 27th, 28th and 29th May 05 on the same mobile number provided on entry. Coca-Cola reserves the right do redraw the prize if the major prize winner cannot be contacted on their mobile phone.
Can Fans change the team they have chosen if they win?
The winner will be asked to confirm their chosen team when they are contacted. This will be the team who can access the £250,000 prize fund.
What will the winning Fan be required to do to claim the prize?
On being contacted, before any prize can be validated, the major prize winner will have to maintain secrecy until a confidentiality agreement is signed. Any breach of either of these conditions and Coca-Cola reserve the right to reselect the winner. Any potential winning telephone call from the official sources will be recorded for legal reasons.
Can the winning club spend the money on other purposes, i.e. debt?
No. The prize fund of £250,000 will only be released for player transfers and wages only.
Can the winning club purchase more than one player?
Yes. The winning club can purchase as many players as they would like with the prize money.
Is there an alternative prize if Fans do not want to donate the prize fund to the winning club?
There is no alternative prize.
Can the winning Fan give the prize to somebody else?
No. The prize is non transferable.
Secondary Prizes
How do Fans know if they have won?
Winners of the match tickets will be notified by text or e-mail 6pm on the day after their entry is received.
Is there an alternative prize if Fans do not want the match tickets?
There is no alternative prize. No cash alternative will be offered.
Can ticket winners give their prize to someone else?
No. The prize is non transferable.
Will ticket winners get their first choice of match tickets?
Winners will be given a selection of matches to choose from. Every effort will be made to provide winners with their first choice of match tickets but this can not be guaranteed.
How do ticket winners claim their match tickets?
Details of available matches and booking procedures will be distributed to winners after the release of the 2005 / 06 fixture lists.
Are there any restrictions?
Yes. Normal admission restrictions apply for winners of Football League and Scottish Premier League match tickets. Winners and their guests will be expected to abide by the rules and regulations of the individual clubs.

1. This promotion is open to residents of Great Britain, the Isle of Man and Channel Islands only, excluding employees of Coca-Cola Great Britain, Coca-Cola Enterprises Limited, their families, agencies, anyone else directly connected with the promotion or anyone that is subject to a Football Banning Order.
2. Entrants must be 12 years or over. All prize winners under 16 years require parental consent.
3. No Purchase Necessary, simply enter by text as detailed below or visit
www.coca-colafootball.co.uk and follow instructions given in the ‘How to enter’ section.
4. The Promotion is open from 00:00 on 08/03/05 and will run until 23:00 on 26/05/05.
5. To enter, simply text in the word player, followed by the full name of your Coca-Cola Football League or Scottish Premier League club, to 80089. Text messages will be charged at between 10-12p depending on your network operator.
6. Only one entry per mobile number per day. This can be by either text or web.
7. Entering via text message is not available in the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. Users in these locations can register and enter at
www.coca-colafootball.co.uk and follow instructions given in the ‘How to Enter’ section.
8. The ‘win a player’ prize draw will take place on 27/05/05 and the winner of the major prize of a player(s) worth £250,000 for their club and £10,000 for themselves, will be the first valid entry drawn at random from entries received before the closing date.
9. All participants must ensure that they are contactable at any time on 27/05/05, 28/05/05 and 29/05/05 on the same mobile number used for their entry. Coca-Cola reserves the right do redraw the prize if the major prize winner cannot be contacted. Any participant between the ages 12 and 15 years will also require a parent or guardian to be available at any time on 27/05/05, 28/05/05 and 29/05/05 to accept the prize on their behalf.
10. In the event of a mobile phone being lost, stolen or damaged, or an email address becoming inaccessible during the promotion, Coca-Cola are not able to retrieve and amend any existing entries to a new mobile number or email address.
11. The winning fan and club will be announced live on Sky Sports on 30/05/05.
12. The major prize winner will be asked to confirm the Coca-Cola Football League or Scottish Premier League club that they provided when entering the promotion. If the club stated differs to that in the text or email, or the winner would like to give the prize to another club, then this club must be from the same League as the club stated in the entry, ie either from the Coca-Cola Football League or Scottish Premier League. The main prize winner will also be required to maintain the strictest of secrecy until a confidentiality agreement is signed. Any breach of these conditions will entitle Coca-Cola to reselect the winner. Any potential winning telephone call from the official sources will be recorded for legal reasons.
13. There is 1 major prize of a player(s), up to the value of £250,000, which will be given to the Coca-Cola Football League and Scottish Premier League club designated in the winner’s entry. The winning club must be in the Coca-Cola Football League or Scottish Premier League at the beginning of the 2004 / 05 season and the winning fan must not be in breach of football clubs’ or Football League’s rules or regulations. If so, Coca-Cola reserves the right to redraw the prize.
14. The prize cannot be awarded to any club from the English Premier League, Scottish Football League or a club from any other League not mentioned above.
15. The major prize of the £250,000 prize fund is dedicated to funding the acquisition of a newly registered player(s) with the chosen winning Club for the 2005/06 season. The £250,000 prize fund must be spent by 31st August 2005 and can only be spent on domestic transfers. The £250,000 prize fund may be used to pay the following fees and expenses a) transfer fees (domestic clubs) b) player’s wages c) VAT on transfer fees d) transfer fee levy e) ground improvement levy. The money cannot be used for any other purpose. The £250,000 prize fund will be held in The Football League’s transfer fee account. The £250,000 prize fund may not be used to pay agent’s fees or severance payments. Any player transferred should remain registered for at least one season with the winning Club. All Football League applicable rules and regulations, including the salary cost management protocol and the insolvency policy, must be adhered to. The winner will meet with the club but the final decision will be made by the winning football club.
16. There are runner-up prizes of 1 pair of either Coca-Cola Football League or Scottish Premier League match tickets to be won in a random draw from valid entries, every hour of every day, running from 00.00 on 08/03/05 to 23.00 on 26/05/05. Only one entry is allowed per person per day.
17. Match tickets will be available for all clubs in the Football League or Scottish Premier League at the beginning of the 2005 / 06 season. Tickets are for home matches only and are subject to availability.
18. Winners of the match tickets will be notified by text or e-mail by 6pm on the day following entry. Winners will be asked to text or e-mail back with their name, address and postcode. Coca-Cola will then send a letter to prize winners within 14 days to confirm details. If prize winners cannot be contacted within 30 days of the end of the promotion they will forfeit their prize.
19. Details of available matches and booking procedures will be distributed to winners after the release of the 2005 / 06 fixture lists.
20. Normal admission restrictions apply for winners of Coca-Cola Football League and Scottish Premier League match tickets. Winners and their guests will be expected to abide by the rules and regulations of the individual clubs.
21. Incomplete entries or those not in accordance with the entry instructions are invalid.
22. The draw for the major prize will be conducted under independent supervision by PromoVeritas Ltd and the Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
23. In the event of unforeseen circumstances the Promoter reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value.
24. No cash alternative will be offered for the match ticket prizes. All prizes are non-transferable.
25. By entering this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules. All entry instructions form part of the rules.
26. If you do not wish to receive any further text messages from Coca-Cola, please text the word STOP to 80089, this will stop all text messages other than confirmation replies to entries into ‘Win a Player’ or texts to notify you if you are a winner.
27. A list of the major and secondary prize winners will be made available on request to those enclosing a stamped self-addressed envelope to Coca-Cola Win a Player Promotion,
PO Box 100, Blackburn, BB0 1GR, between 31 May and 12 July 2005.
28. Regretfully, we can not be held liable for system failures at the handling house, on the websites or on telephone hotlines. Neither can we be held responsible for the failure to fulfil the obligations of any of the third parties involved in this promotion, although we will always endeavour to minimise the effect of any such failure.
29. Any breach of these Terms and Conditions will result in a forfeit of the prize.
