why are some of you so negative about our strikers????? Its not the strikers fault they haven't been scoring, its the midfielders!!! Anyone who went or even listened to the match must of saw/heard there weren't too many chances and in my opinion this is down the the midfield, who are meant to create goal scoring opportunities i actually feel sorry for Hume and Fryatt they aren't miracle workers... you cannot expect them to score goals from 1 or 2 half chances in the game. The only reason we were so poor is that the players never had a leader to shout at them and spur them on, the other reason is we just passed it back to Hendo and tried the long ball which in my eyes was down to AJ and Hughes. One of the Best chances came down to MF, AJ put a good through ball to MF who should've done better now i think if we would of played to feet instead of hoofing the ball we would do better. If we are going to play the long ball why not sign Duncan Ferguson?

I am just baffled some of you are taking it out on MF when he has to create his own chances.

Difficult to tell in the first half, but second half MF missed 2 sitters.

Jessel WTF are you on about? The strikers are there to score goals and last night they missed chances. A quality striker would have had a couple last night. What do they expect the fecking ball to be put at their feet with an empty goal in front of them with no defenders around them????

They are awful and need to sharpen up..............I bet they have knocked off for the day as well after maybe a couple of hours of really hard training.......

Some would say we were let down last night by a wonder strike, and I would agree IF we were only playing for a point...the problem with us is that we lack the ability to create, and the current midfield, and to some extent the strikers in their current form are the reason.

We had so many corners and wasted a lot of them. Its so blatent where each corner was going to go that it was easy to defend against. And when Hughes tried to chip the keeper from the free kick towards the end of the second half i had my head in my hands.

Hume and James W for me would be much better than AJ and Hughes

The trouble is that we lost quality in Gudjohnson over the summer and never replaced it.

For me Low, Johnson and McCauley (who will probably never play for us) are a complete waste of wages!

I think one of the problems is that there is no leader in the midfield. just chicken running around. Someone has to step up to the play and start dictating play. It just seem that last night they turned up knowing that they were getting paid last night regardless of how they played. I don't mind leicester losing i do mind when out players look like they aren't bother when we are.

At present we are a shambles. 4 goals in 7 games in nowhere near good enough, and the fact that we have failed to hit the net in 5 of the 7 bears testament to just how poorly we are playing as an attacking outfit.

We were untroubled at the back.

We created a lot of half chances, the kind you dont really expect to score from all too often. We created 1 possibly 2 clear cut chances.

I think that we shouldn't have a knee jerk reaction here. I was at the game last night and to be frank we could have been 3-0 up at half time. Throughout the game their goalie pulled off 2 brilliant saves, Levi put one past the post from 2 yards out and MF and co up front missed a couple of sitters. They got a goal from an exceptional shot and we were chasing the game. Had any of them gone in I believe we would have won easily because they were a very average team and thats the frustrating thing. For most of the first half we were camped in their half. The problem is that when we go a goal down we go to pieces and panic. Instead of staying with the ball on the deck we go to hoof ball which every defence at this level can soak up all day. The resposibility for this is the "older heads" in midfield. We need a Kavanagh (now at S/land) who would stop this at scource. We have a good young side who are out of confidence, playing not bad football untill it goes wrong. Who at the moment couldn't buy a goal. We miss Joey (he usually scored the goals like they did last night). Looking at it from an opposition viewpoint, take out Fryatt and except from corners we ain't going to score. We have no-one in midfield who can create anything exceptional. I am deeply worried about Saturday. Lets hope they can sort it.

Indeed. McAuley hasn't had a league start, Johnson has been quiet, Kenton is awful. Low has been average at best.

He wasn't taking all the corners, he was taking turns with Levi, Hughes taking the ones on the right and Levi the ones on the left.

Personally I didn't think Hughes did too badly last night, in fact I thought he played well in the first half, but he seems to have become the new player 'fans love to hate'. Johnson was awful though...
