Pay your rates

If your rates too high
Write a snotty letter
If your rates too high
Put your life on this bit of paper

Ours actually went down last year because they reduced the band our house was rated at, the council also had to pay us around £900 back due to overpayments, even a 5% incresae won't put us back where we were.

If my council tax goes up 4-4.5%, then it will be over £1000 a year for a band 'a' property. :098: :098:

its still great value for money though, you get 3 bin bags picked up from your house a week, and some pretty brown and green bags to clutter up your kitchen with.

Some people are just never happy.

this probably sounds like a daft question but ill ask it anyway what do we pay our council tax for..:)

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Change the things you can change - manage the things you can't change - but, most of all, FFS stop moaning about it!

And some of us get a big green plastic box for bottles too :icon_razz
