Stearman was woeful tonight, the worst city player on the night. He has just lost something, he does not seem confident, or he could just not give a feck, I dont know.

He wasn't on for long BG,and he was missing a night out on the Piss remember so he had a reason to look disinterested.

He wasn't on for long but that was too long........ he looks as if he could not give a feck or has a hang over

Henderson 5 - I don't know about the defenders, but I certainly crap myself every time it comes near him. CATCH the ball!
Kenton 7 - good game, very solid, our first choice right back on current form
Kisnorbo 8 - Cov got nothing out of him, excellent awareness and composure, could easily play at a higher level
McCarthy 7 - solid but doesn't have Kisnorbo's positional sense
Johannsson 7 - played well
Low 7 - the new Steve Guppy? Unorthodox, and looks an unlikely winger, but he has a sweet right foot and can deliver dangerous balls time and time again. My first look at him - I was quite impressed
Hughes 6 - He has quality but needs to influence the game more in that position
Johnson 6 - good first half, anonymous second. I like his spirit, but his passing can be a bit too wayward
Porter 6.5 - busy, but didn't really have that much influence. More to come from the tiny man, I hope
Fryatt 7 - worked hard and has obvious class. Needs a partner...
Hammond 5 - he's not the answer. Tried hard but didn't give them much to think about.

Wesolowski 6 - good to see him back. Committed as ever
Hume 5 - needs an attitude adjustment
Stearman 5 - ditto

Overall I'm happy enough with a point. It was a reasonable performance away from home.

I'd love to see O'Grady given a few games with Fryatt to see if they can forge a partnership - also, someone to get on the end of these tempting crosses we've suddenly started slinging over.

And fair play to Matt Heath, who had a good game for Cov and might actually be maturing into a decent centre back.

Micky Adams said after the game(i saw it earlier on SSN) that we were the better team:icon_eek:

i think i was watching a different game!

as for ratings...no one did anything special nor did anyone do anything totally stupid.

so 6's across the board.....

I thought it was pretty even match on the whole. We had the better of the first half they did a lot better in the second.

Well Cov seemed to me to be begging to be beaten - low on confidence with several injuries and a team waiting for new signings. Three points were there for the taking and we didn't deliver. Therefore,

Henderson 4 - several unnecessary punches and kicks when he could have caught the ball and dreadful distribution again. just not good enough for this level.
Kenton 6 - okay
Kisnorbo 7 - looks the strongest defender even though he should look the weakest based on physical stuff.
McCarthy 6 - okay but when Adebola came on he didn't win the aerial challenges as he should.
Johansson 5 - offered little and got away with it again. if I were an opposing manager I'd just say attack him all game and you'll create loads of chances.
Low 5 - thought he was being overrated against Ipswich and I was right. Only really offers crosses and 75% of them went straight to the keeper.
Johnson 4 - starting to really worry about this fella. again he was off the pace and looked nothing like the player he's supposed to be.
Hughes 5 - a poor game by his standards - disappointing as he's been given a chance to play in his best position and he's not taking it.
Porter 5 - a kid not ready for first team football. decent corner from him occasionally but needs to go out on loan somewhere to see if he's got a chance at this level. a liability if a team cross from right to left. any smart team will expliot his midgetness.
Fryatt 7 - again did well with virtually no support. will soon be seen to be getting pissed off with the complete lack of help he gets and give in trying so hard.
Hammond 2 - the worst centre forward we've ever had - offically taking over from Benjamin. awful excuse for a player and simply an embarrassment.
Hume 5 - came on and did nothing.
Wesolowski 5 - came on and did nothing.
Stearman 5 - came on and did nothing.

Henderson 5 - His indecision and poor judgement is causing mass panic every game, sooner rather than later we are going to be punished. Not good enough at this level.

Kenton 7 - Another solid performance from Kenton, who appears to have made the right back berth his own.

Kisnorbo 7 - Strong performance, looks just as good as last season.

McCarthy 7 - Good game by the skipper, his partnership with t'other Paddy is really developing and it is key that they stay as free from injury and suspension as possible.

Johansson 7 - Solid from Nissa, seems to have learnt from the opening day disaster.

Low 6 - Very good first half , but somewhat missing in the second.

Johnson 6 - Did a solid job of breaking up play but never really stamped his authority on the game.

Hughes 6 - See Johnson

Porter 6 - Decent full debut by Porter, involved and keen to influence play, rarely gives the ball away. Plays it very simple, neat and tidy footballer who seems tohave a future and can certainly play a part this season.

Hammond 4 - Works hard but his touch and control was woeful. Does not have the natural ability to succeed at this level. Ineffective.

Fryatt 7 - Worked manfully to try and create something, is desperate to score and on last nights performance probably deserved to nick the winner. However he does seem to be lacking sharpness and this is preventing him from getting away from defenders and creating space for himself.

Subs

Hume 6 - Did ok, did not influence the game as much as I would have liked, but still head and shoulders above Hammond.

Weso 6 - Steady but unspectacular but each appearance will help build up his strength and and aid his rehabiliatation.

Stearman 4 - Woeful, does he still want to be here, as soon as he replaced Kenton, we looked vunerable.

Thats funny A-Z. I logged on this morning and went straight to Beightons player ratings site first in order that I wouldn't be swayed by anything I read on here. It turns out that my ratings on there for this game were EXACTLY the same as yours here!

Spooky.

Maybe you subconsciously overheard him mumbling in his sleep.... :icon_eek:

Henderson-6 still likes any command

Kenton-7 felt the back 4 all had fairly decent games without making any major mistakes
Kisnorbo-7
McCarthy-7
Johansson-7

Low-6.5 some good crosses especially fryatt chance-but needs to do more
Johnson-6 did nothing wrong but no real impact
Hughes-6 has improved slightly, might keep williams out
Porter-7 solid debut imo hope he can progress now

Fryatt-7.5 worked tirelessly and unlucky not to score
Hammond-5 the opposite of fryatt-what exactly did he do?
