Directions & Parking:

Approx 135 miles - 3 hours

M1 > M25 >
Leave the M25 at Junction 10 and follow the A3 towards London. After about ten miles you will reach the Tolworth roundabout at which you turn right onto the A240 towards Epsom. After about three miles turn onto the A232 towards Sutton. Follow the A232 through Sutton and Carshalton and just before reaching Croydon, turn left onto the A23 north towards Thornton Heath'. Where the A23 bears left at Thornton Heath (at the Horsehoe pub roundabout). Here you must go straight over, into Brigstock Road (B266), passing Thornton Heath Station on your left and bearing right on to the High Street. At the next mini roundabout, (Whitehorse Road/Grange Road) go left into Whitehorse Lane. The ground is on your right.

Most of the street parking is for resident permit holders. There are some streets with pay & display parking, however this is normally for a maximum of 4 hours. Please take note of any signs that may say otherw*s*!

Trains:

Thanks to the new late service from St Pancras, and as long as you head straight back to St Pancras you can get back after the game.

There are £7 singles going when using Megatrain - www.megatrain.co.uk leaving early afternoon from Leicester.

There are £11 singles coming back on the 11.15pm and 00.15am services when using EMT www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk

The closest stations to the ground are either Selhurst, Norwood Junction or Thornton Heath.

The Railway Telegraph, 19 Brigstock Road, Thornton Heath, CR7 7JJ is a firm favourite with the London Branch.

Are you aware how long it takes to get back to St Pancras from the ground?
It should just be possible to get the last train back but
you'll have no time to spare. I know NF has already mentioned this but I've been stranded in London overnight after a match there so it's worth repeating.

It should just be possible to get the last train back but

No I wasn't aware but thanks for letting me know, I will speak to my mate about it, would you reccomend just going by fox travel??

Because of the 5 hours it took to get to Hereford a few years back. One and a half hours stop at the service station!!!!

Sure you can. There's a coach to Northampton at 4.10 in the morning, you can get the bus back from there at 5.20.

The match kicks off at 20:00, you might not get out of the ground until around 22:00.

Have a look at the London journey planner and see how difficult it is to get from the ground to St Pancras in time for your train.

In my experience the time taken is not as long as the journey planner says - I think they use the worst case scenario for waiting time for tube trains etc.
