My turn to start a pre match thread, and may I commence the forthcoming debate, and the inevitable range of new player selections/bizarre formations, by suggesting that we are going to get absolutely gubbed on Saturday - by three or four goals at least

An end of season bore draw that will see us fall behind both Everton and Newcastle.

Can see these giving us a right old smashing if they can be arsed.

**** the team selection. I predict we will score a grand total of zero goals, have a grand total of 1 shot on target, and have 63% possession.

I also predict it’ll be last on Match of the Day, will bore half the crowd to death, and that Puel will say he was happy with the performance.

Lastly, I predict there will still be people on here jibbering on about some transition bollocks.

Serious question. If Puel were happy with how we are playing at the moment (and I strongly believe he isn’t in spite of what he says) why are we looking to buy players in the positions (such as R/B) that most have identified as weak links in our team?

He isn’t going to say anything negative to the press is he and cause internal problems?

In Puels defence we did start the game well against Southampton and we did move the football quicker however we are lacking in quality in positions such as RB,CD and imo central midfield we are desperately short of a midfielder who can drive the ball forward at pace and take defences on. There will be a huge clear out in the summer if he selects Morgan and Simpson on Saturday I will be in the Puel out bracket especially when he has stated he is now preparing for next season!

Amartey is playing for the U23s tonight so won't feature tomorrow.

Think people need to stop giving Puel shit. We are top 10 we have had two cup quarter finals. We haven't been so good recently but he needs a pre season to bring players in

We haven't been so good for the last 17 games, in case you hadn't noticed, that's half the season so far. 4 wins in 17 is simply not good enough.
