Seems a decent future prospect, will keep Albrighton on his toes and probably signed in anticipation of Riyad maybe moving on in the summer.

Hopefully a signing or two for now still to come. We have the best chance in the clubs history of finishing in the top 4 or maybe, with a slice of luck and a helping hand from the rest, winning the lot. Lets have a go.

Not the best stats this season with 1 goal and 1 assist but hopefully one for the future and a player who always looks very accomplished when I've seen him play.

That's from 25 appearances too. Great goal against us in pre-season shows the ability is there. Would be nice to have another player who can drive the ball forward and take players on like he did with that goal. It's a young English talent for a fairly cheap price so can't grumble with that.

One for the future, which is nice

Now for someone for right this very minute

Great signing and given that Durham seems not overly convinced, he should turn out to be pretty bloody good for us!

I think we'll see him at some point on Sunday given we've said no loan back so it shows he'll be considered for the first team.

Most teams in the Prem would have probably taken a punt on him for this price so for us to get him ahead of others is a bit of a coup for us but obviously he's no Carl Cort.

Or alternatively read what I actually wrote

I'm unconvinced about assists as a metric. A large number of them does indicate an effective player, but the converse is not necessarily true. Maybe he crosses and someone else knocks it down for a third player, maybe he comes inside then passes wide for player 2 to put a cross in.

Anyway, I'm pleased about this because we've spent a lot of time looking at him. Those transfers tend to be the successful ones.

Can they call him back for the play-offs?

No doubt Steve Walsh Sr was involved but I wonder whether this is a Claudio signing or a Jon Rudkin signing.

One of the advantages of having a Director of Football is that he can think long term and young Mr Gray is more potential than achievement. It can be a mistake for a manager to think long term. I am told by an Arsenal fan that when Billy Wright was manager in the 1960s he tried to build a great side for the future. Arsenal became a great side but by that time the board had lost patience, Wright had been sacked and his replacement Bertie Mee got the credit for his work.

Hopefully Claudio will get a striker in his prime to play alongside Vardy. No doubt when we signed Leonardo, Shinji and the forgettable Croatian Walsh was working to Pearson's criteria. Claudio may want something different.

.

I'd say this is definitely a scouting team signing as opposed to Claudio.

We've been tracking him since before Claudio was here and it seems the board are happy to go with the scouting teams advice as a couple came in when we didn't have a manager in the summer.

Claudio probably is too as he wasn't overly keen on Kante but that signing has most likely given him faith in the scouting team!
