I don’t imagine we’re paying him a fortune so this is unlikely to make much of a difference, it’s best for the player though as he’s not likely to get many games here (and tbh on the appearances apart from the Peterborough match hasn’t looked like he’s deserved to either)

he was signed for the U23s and got bumped up after a promising debut vs Peterborough, he was always a player for the long term not immediate success, the mistake was not loaning him out in August

It was hyperbole I grant you. If you want the reality of the situation, well, he looks comparatively atrocious to many if not most footballers in this division. His touch, his vision, his dribbling, his tackling - it all looks dreadful. We got him from the French 2nd division and that looks to be his level if he is lucky. The only error we have made is buying him in the first place.
