The job of a local newspaper football 'journalist' is to ingratiate himself with his local club and not say anything meaningful. Everybody knows that.

This applies to cricket as well - I listened with admiration on Saturday afternoon to two brilliant commentators who convinced me that the sporting achievement of the summer was for Leicestershire to get within a mere 100 runs of Australia's total.

i didnt say i supported it homer but its just a fact of life, and i dont think you run a crusade entirely on your own ,when opinions need voicing the leicester crowd usually let their feelings be known ,and i for one will be attending any further meetings ( which do not start at 5 and only get 24hours notice).
