There's one place near Freeman Common's Industrial Estate.

The whole scene of car auction just seems dodgy to me....I'd turn up with 3 heavies and a mechanic to check the car over.

Car auctions are fine - you just have to know what you're after and what's going on. Check the description, try and find out where it's from, give it a decent once-over before you bid, and check what the conditions of sale are. Normally you're allowed an hour after you get the keys to check it is as described.

The stuff you probably want is cars that are basically OK but have no secondhand value. Fiat estates, say. Dealers get these as part-ex, know they'll never sell them and so bang them straight down the auction.

You could always use Autotrader?

If I were you I would pay a tenner or whatever it is to get a car check done before you buy it. When I was after a car I went to look at one and was about to buy it but then did one of these car checks online and found out it was a Cat C write-off which the nice little Indian man didn't tell me.

But then again for £500, you might not be that fussed.

I think its sort of opposite the park. Coming from Leicester, you have the Braunstone Leisure Centre on the left, and then a little bit further up you have Neals Warehouse on the right.
