Danny Drinkwater has been a key figure in Leicester's rise to the top of the Premier League this season
Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater has been named in the England squad for the Euro 2016 warm-up games against Germany and the Netherlands.

It is the 26-year-old's first call-up to the senior national team,

England travel to Berlin to face the world champions on Saturday, 26 March, then host the Dutch, World Cup semi-finalists, at Wembley on Tuesday, 29 March.

It will only work though if they are both played in the middle, as Drinkwater is the only one that will make the forward passes to Vardy. Everyone else seems obsessed with sideways/backwards passing.

If his point is Mark Noble should be in the England squad he is probably right. Whether he should be there over Drinkwater is an entirely other matter.
