Im surprised at the lack of response to Lloyd Dyers celebration after his goal against Reading. There was slight speculation that it was a response to booing from the east stand. Has the player himself explained his actions? Does anyone have a different take on it? I myself thought that when i saw his face on the Football League show he seemed to have a face of disdain and anger . Please comment.

Too busy jumping up and down to see it, and I can't bear watching the Football League show when we don't win

Just watched it on DavieG's site off FT

Looks like a reference to the Fosse Boys shambles, rather than anything else

I was in K block and when he ran over he was definitely making a point to someone. I thought it may have been the Reading fans at the time but there were a few idiots round us having a go at him earlier in the game so could have been them.

Probably just didn't enjoy being booed off at half time and fancied telling the fans to shut up when he scored. I think I probably would have done the same and I'm sure a fair few of you would have.

Footballers get the impression that "the fans" boo players off. I believe that it is only ever a minority of fans who boo. Too often players, managers and press react as if the booers were "the fans" as a whole.
Dyer's celebration was courting fate because as it turned out we lost to a poor team and the fans had the right to be disgruntled at the team's performance.
