I like Elvis im a fan of his.

His quick, he controls the ball well he tires defences i like a player with pace and the ability to take on defenders, he can!! Granted he is not the best finisher in the world but he does score goals (well some goals). He needs a good run in the side and better service, i think he should stay regardless of any new strikers coming in.

he shoots like a five year old with boots full of custard

From my post in the Todorov thread:

I rate him! He is fast, can hold the ball up, causes their defence problems and scores goals! This is our strikers League record this season, MDV from last season.

Player Starts Goals Strike Rate
Hume 24 8 33%
De Vries 20 6 30%
Hammond 15 4 27%
Fryatt 15 2 13%

So he is not quite as good as Hume or De Vries but twice as good as Fryatt!

Keep him.

After all now the messiah is here there's no money problems anymore ;)

i know this is a tongue in cheek comment youve made but mm wont hang on to players like hammond and the likes, he hasnt got where he is by chucking money down the shitter. 70% of our current squad wont be here at the start of next season.

He's OK, but we've already got enough strikers. Let him go!

Keep for now but if we are to have any ambition he is not the type of player we should be looking to either sign or keep.

He does work hard though.

He's good to keep....scored a few goals from coming off the bench and earned us a god few points this season

I think with a decent midfield to provide some long awaited service, we might just notice a change in all of our strikers in the next few matches. I say keep him.

Much as I hope your right I'm not convinced mate.

We all know MM isn't going to throw silly money at us but hopefully there'll be enough to have a proper reserve team again and I think Elvis should stay because he has got the potential to be a pretty decent player if he gets the right coaching and a prolonged period of play in that 2nd string.

Elvis Hammond is about as useful to a football team as a fire extinguisher is to an arsonist!!

Keep him, he's handy on the wing. Causes all sorts of problems and if we had a decent striker to give the ball to I could see him providing plenty of assists and the odd 3 yard screamer.

I would imagine Yeates & Cadam are above hammond for the RW spot
