Email address

Advice needed please, I have a virgin email address, only one I've ever had, so had it donkeys years.

Last year Virgin media decided they no longer wanted our custom and sold us off to talk talk, no problem my email account and how I accessed them stayed the same. now talk talk have said they will no longer fund the virgin emails account as they will close at the end of June, and that I will need to create a new email address and back up all my old emails if I wish to keep any of them.

My question is: is there anyway I can keep my original email address?

There's no way to keep the old address. This was publicised over a year ago to give people plenty of time to get a new address up and running.

I would recommend never using an email address that's tied to an ISP account. There are plenty of free alternatives provided by companies like Google, Microsoft etc.

This must be a separate part of VirginMedia. I'm with them (via cable) and my email address (actually NTLWorld domain) was migrated to Google ages ago. No plans to abolish it from VM. The only thing that's changed for cable customers is that our domain space is being taken away soon.

We were with VirginMedia but they wouldn't run the cable up our drive so palmed us off to talk talk. Our email account did go to google but now they are being closed down
