Well,

Before the season commenced a fair few of us put in a prediction as to where we thought our beloved club would ultimately finish come May 2016.

I seem to recall the difference between the most pessimistic prediction (20th) and the most optimistic (8th) - a mere 12 positions.

I know our first 13 games have been phenomenal but if you had the beauty of looking forward 13 games and seeing us top on 28 games most of us on here would have said that whoever had seen that vision was clearly under the influence of something illegal.

So, here we are top on 28 points (no apologies for saying it twice).

The question therefore now is - what position do you now think we will finish and with how many points will we finish on?

Realistically, we still lost to Arsenal and discounting Spurs as a 'top' team we obviously still have to prove we can compete with the best sides this season. The next month or so of matches will tell us a great deal about where we will finish but that's the funny thing - it's all about 'on the day'. There is no reason at all why we can't get results against Manure, Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool. If we do, and finish the year still in the top three, wow, who knows.......

Keeping all our key players in January, and them being happy that we kept them is going to be important.

I know it's pessimistic but I can't help thinking that one transfer, a refused transfer request or a couple of bad injuries and this could all be over.

If we survive January then I think 5th

A good call.
