Indeed. I’m not the kind of person who believes football clubs have “DNA”, but if any club has an enduring philosophy spanning multiple decades regardless of personnel it’s Tottenham putting themselves in a position to win something then crashing out of contention in marvellously entertaining, easily-mockable fashion. Some Spurs teams are even more almoster than others, and every so often they even **** it up by winning a County Cup or a fishing competition or summat, but there’s always that prevailing theme of half-finished jobs.
