Edit: well, you live and learn. It's manufactured here too it seems (https://www.vico.fr/?brand=monster-munch) though it seems I luck out on the much loved pickled onion flavour. In fact, none of those flavours grab me.

The French ones are made from potato. The Walkers ones aren't. The French ones are thin, the Walkers ones are chunky.
