And his poor partner watching that in real time. Goes without saying I hope he makes a full recovery, I’m sure he’s not out of the woods yet.

Reports now that his agent has spoken with his father and Eriksen is breathing by himself and also talking.

With a heart attack, it's speed of treatment that matters. The brain is at risk if it is deprived of oxygen for too long. He was very fortunate to be seconds away from the best possible care and treatment, meaning that he should be able to recover to live a normal life. Not sure if he'll ever play professional football again though.

It sounds like in reality they were given the choice of last night, or today at lunchtime, and the players felt it was better to finish it off then rather than have to come back after a difficult night
