What a complete and utter farce.
I was down the boozer last night when they had the tv on with the results coming in.
When they went to the next country that was voting everyone was shouting in jest which ' friendly ' country was going to get the 12pts.
I dont recall the actual voting but it was along the lines of Cyprus giving Greece the maximum, and vica-versa. Lithuania in bed with Estonia. Croatia and Macedonia. It had nothing to do with the quality of each nations entries, just a completely biased political joke. Its been going on for years, and imo not since the 70's and early 80's has the eurovision been a true contest. Before the political nature enveloped it, there used to be some decent winners.
Not any more though, and consequently this 'contest' should be buried and never seen again.

I just dont know why we bother with it being such a farce. The nature of voting is embarrassing.

It was actually a bit less severe than normal.

Apparently they got our act to perform in 19 of the countries before the event to make sure we were given a shot.

What I found funny is how can all these countries in Europe like the same song? Seems too far farfetched how one nation always runs away with it. Norway were favourites before but how? It was fecking shite.

they changed the voting system slightly this year in that there was a panel of so many experts that judged them on the dress rehearsal performance and then that was combined with the votes from the public... still a joke though and glad I didnt waste my Saturday night watching it

I never watch it, but I'd heard that the UK are the only country who have a public vote, every other country is just a panel.
