Let's forget about the League now until we play Chelsea and work out how many of the first XI players we include in this game.
We can include some players with a chance to impress Claudio, but please please they must give it a go. We do not want another Porto.

Do we blood any new player that we sign this week.
Does Benny get a chance? Do we give one of the Development Squad a chance?
Vardy can play in this, but do we play him in case he's injured before the tough game against Chelsea, when we need our best XI to even compete.

Schmeichel

Simpson Hernandez Huth Chilwell

Musa Mendy NDidi* Gray

Ulloa Vardy
*if signed in time, Barnes if not

that's what I'd go with, wish we had a proper right back as an option to rest Simpson but we don't

Vardy will play, he needs to get sharp again and he won't do that sitting on the bench. If he doesn't play the Chelsea game will be his first for four weeks.

Other way we look at it is he plays and gets sent off then banned for some important matches. Should be the under 17s and Big Was for this one. Sad as I used to love this competition.

We've got six days to prepare for this one and then seven before the Chelsea game. We should play our strongest 11 and try and win. There should be no place for Wasilewski or youth players.

Absolutely. We cannot fear injuries or dismissals. These could happen in any game. I'd love an FA cup to add to the trophy cabinet and it may be the only chance we have of another European adventure next year. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to piss this game up against the wall.

Strongest team.

Win

Build the confidence.

Agreed. Particularly as we need to blend a team for the rest of Jan without the ACON players, so let's get them used to each other.

Also I want the FA Cup more than ever now, to give us the full set. A few games in the Cup won't affect our relegation/survival chances.

For me, it's all about our schedule and priorities.

We have a minimum of twenty one games over eighteen weeks left to play at the moment. We've already played twenty seven games over twenty weeks, so in theory, the demands on the playes are likely to get a bit easier from here on in.

I really cannot see us getting any further in the Champions League. Therefore, a run in the FA Cup would be something worth going for. The issue is our league position which isn't stable enough to take our place in the Premier League for granted. The Premier League must always come first so, for that reason, I'd make a number of changes.

Having rambled on, it really is irrelevant what we all think or wish for. Ranieri is highly unlikely to give a shit about the FA Cup and I'd expect widespread changes for both real and spurious reasons. It's also true to say that we had a pretty awful draw and will probably lose whatever line up we select. So why not make changes?

My only real demand is that Morgan is nowhere near the squad as he's been dreadfully over-played this season. And I don't think Vardy needs a game either. He's better off working on the training ground.

Vardy absolutely should play to gain a bit of match fitness ready for the Chelsea match.

It would be absolutely ludicrous if he didn't. No amount of work on 'the training ground' can make up for what would be 4 weeks without competitive match time.

considering we just played 3 games in a week it would be 3 weeks at the most he hadn't played for but that said he should certainly play

He last played against Stoke on the 17th of December. If he doesn't play against Everton in the cup, his next game would be Chelsea on the 14th of January. That's 4 weeks.

After the Boro performance Okazaki and Ulloa should never be paired up-front together.

They did ok the last time they were paired up front together (4-0 v Swansea at home in April).
