Well i'm pretty new to this: Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplaen Over The Sea (The front cover is my aviator) i got a couple of months ago, but it is a ****ing amazing, maybe even my favourite album of all-time! It can be quite hard to find in this country, but there's usually a copy in the HMV in Leicester now.

UI must warn you though, it's one of those albums, which takes a while to get into, i hated it a t first and it took me a good 15 listens to get into it, but then it just clicked, and everytime i've listened to it since it just gets better.

Anyways, Before you say "That's all well and good Mikey, but i'd rather not wast my hard earned £15 on something reccomended by a spotty 16-year-old" Read these:

Exacly those bands are all great as well. I only got Modest Mouse's Moon & Antartica earlier this week and i absoloutly love it

Someone else who likes Modest Mouse on here, Moon And The Antartica is a cracker. Did you know for their new album, Johnny Marr of the Smiths is playing Guitar on it and he's touring with them.

I have got 'Good News For People Who Like Bad News' but its not a patch on the the 'Moon..'.

Have you got any TV On The Radio albums? What you think to them?

Oh yeah i heard about that Marr thing, The Smiths are one of my favourite bands of all-time so i was very happy when i heard. Due out Novemebr i 've heard. And i've heard a copule of TV on The Radio songs via lat.fm and have wanted theeir new album Return to Cookie Mountain for ages, still haven't picked it up yet though!

Have you ever heard of Yo-La Tengo? They are another one of my favourites
 
Heard of Yo-La Tengo I got to borrow my mates album. I have heard lots of good things about TV On The Radio and heard one song , it was great. Modest Mouse are touring Britain with Marr in tow.

Got any Belle And Seb stuff, the less miserable version of The Smiths?

Haha, yeah i've got the latest Belle & Sebastian album. i odn't think they're as good as The Smiths yet thouh, and i definatly try to get tickets to The Modest Mouse tour

The latest album is more pop than other efforts. Belle and Seb are not as good as The Smiths but the songwriting is of a similar vein and also the same in quality. If Modest Mouse tour Britain, hopefully I am driving by then, I think I will try to get a London ticket which will hopefully be at Astoria which is sadly closing.

Yeah, i defiantl;y need to get some of B&S older stuuf. And i won't be old enough to even start driving lessons until February so unless Modest Mouse play in the East Midlands i probably won't be able to go

i just signed up to drownedinsound, fecked up my first account though, so i've spelt my username without the "i"

i don't really update my RYM collection, i add a couple of ratings every couple of days, but i don't think i'll ever get around to adding my whole collection it's too hard to decide what to rate an album most of the time, i mostly use it for the wishlist feature and the forums.

I've added you to my friends add me to yours (now is ound desperate)

you boys should share your love of US indie music with those at Pitchfork. Anything by Wilco and the bands you list get wanked over repeatedly - not my cup of tea though, i think its pretentious rubbish!!!

Pitchfork media not the bands per se, but Yo Le Tengo are as dull as my grey Y Fronts and alot of that whole genre just bores the crap out of me.
