nearly half say they wont attend a tigers match at OUR ground, and around 25% say they would. So how many tigers fans would attend city matches?

It looks like the only team to benefit from this so called ground share is the tigers then by taking about 25% of our fans!

I don't think they would be 'taking' our fans. Just because someone says they'll go to a Tigers match doesn't mean they'll stop watching the proper football team.
But the figures quoted surprised me, I didn't think that many would be interested in watching them.

So the trust are planning to re-record 'When you're smiling'? Is this a joke? Surely? Please no!! Bring back the 'We will rock you/Carmina megamix' all is forgiven.

I want my 10 quid back. :smt100

This just proves how many twats there are in Leicester.

How was the pitch at Reading by the way Webbo?

No you are missing my point Webbo, I didnt mean they will be taking our fans, just that with ground sharing that means these people (in the survey) would go and watch both football and egg chasing matches. How many egg chaser fans would come and watch a football match. So based on this the tigers seem to have a lot more to gain than city. As for concerts etc at the stadium, well surely the city can do all that lot on their own!

I think your point is irrelevant. I don't think the fact that the Tigers would be playing at the Walkers Stadium would be the main reason for LCFC fans going to watch them. I think the main reason would be the availability of tickets, which are hard to get hold of when they play at Welford Road. We'll have the same potential problem whatever Tigers do to increase their current capacity.
The Tigers have been getting crowds of over 10,000 for reserve games recently. I know of people who go to watch City who go to Tigers reserve games, but not their first team games, because they can't get tickets.

And so could the Tigers. But the fact is neither club has done it so far.
If the ground share doesn't go ahead, the Tigers may well host concerts too, reducing the potential to hold concerts at the Walkers Stadium. In fact Tigers would probably would be in a stronger position to hold concerts, because their season is shorter.

Depends on the acts - the ones that City are lining up wouldn't be attracted to the size of the Tigers ground.

The point I'm making is that if the tigers don't share with us they'll eventually have a bigger ground, whether it means extending Welford Road or moving somewhere else. So presumably they will be able to compete with the Walkers Stadium, even if they can't now.

Agreed, if the Tigers re-develop elsewhere, we will not only miss out on the potential cost savings of circa £1m/year, we would also suffer reduced revenue as any new facility would attract people wanting a new experience.
