Fiji experience?

Hello guys!
Have one of you already been to the Fiji Islands? I'm wondering to go there in Spring but it's so expensive and I'd like to know if it's worth it?
Google won't tell me the truth because of all the photoshoped pics -.-

Never been but Friends say it is fantastic. sounding very beachy to me - and I have that in front of my house.
