Football Governance Bill: An open letter from FSA supporter groups

The only thing you guys represent is yourselves. I recognize you, like the rest of us, are fans of Leicester City. But you don’t represent me, or many many other City fans.
Pointless anyway.

In the event of a new government everything that isn't top level, manifesto highlighted, major headline material will be shuffled back at least 2 years. This stuff will go nowhere.

This will almost certainly go forward anyway, at some point

No offence, but there are a squillionty things far more important to go into a potential new Government’s manifesto than this, FFS. Pathetic

The FT openly admit they only represent their members.

It's one of the things that needs to change

Probably just as well Top and Susan Whelan do not use TB for fans guidance.
Enzo would have been out on his by Christmas, not because we were top and had won most of our matches, but because so many thought it was boring, only winning by the odd goal, and not worth turning up until the second half!

Is that going in the Football Governance Bill as well?

Their membership is open to all, why (and how) should they represent non-members?

They should represent the whole Club fan base, regardless of whether they choose to pay a membership fee

Effectively it’s currently a private members club purely reflecting the opinion of its 500/600 paying subscribers, therefore not the LCFC fans representative body as it purports to be

As the acting trust they should represent the fan base as a whole.

Also, the only reason they exist at all is because of the huge amounts of money donated by all supporters during the admin years.

The private nature of their operations is why they have become far too cosy with the club and as a result completely pointless as a trust.

That will be changing though.

Why/how will that be changing?

Why/how will that be changing?
Because approx 300 (probably more now) people have become members in the last few weeks in an effort to force the required changes from the inside.

Exactly, they became members. I don't see how any organisation can claim to be the voice of many thousands of fans, as much due to practicalities around data protection as just being able to invilve and engage that many people on a voluntary budget. If you don't like what the trust do, either join it to change it or set up your own supporters group like those Forza chaps have. Most larger clubs seem to have multiple supporters groups and that's a strength.

The Foxes Trust was one of the early signatories to the open letter which was also supported by Union FS within the 200+ Supporters Groups Figures

Good job. Give yourself a pat on the back.

Oh, you just did.
