Who would you prefer ?

As it stands we face Cardiff.

If Cardiff beat Derby (Away) & Forest lose to Scunny (Away) then we face Forest.

I think over the two legs we would have a better chance of beating Forest. With Cardiff buckling under the pressure at Wembley.

:102:
We could also get 3rd if Forest draw and we make up the goal diff. We put 6 past the Rams last time we played them so not totally beyond the realms.

I fear us going out in the semis. If we get to Wembley we'll be better placed to deal with the atmosphere etc. given our recent experience.

We shouldnt fear anyone , if we play well its going to be ok, i live in Blackpool so its them i want to "bottle" to save my embarrassment (as i tipped/bet on them to get relegated)

If we beat Middlesborough 7 - 0 (which is doable) and Cardiff lose We'll face Cardiff away then at home.

It really isn't that ridiculous to suggest that we can still finish 4th.

We've scored for fun at home recently so on the final day we could quite easily bag 6. If Cardiff then lose by two goals, we'll snatch 4th.

If we beat Middlesbrough we will go in to the play-offs having won 5 on the spin. We should fear nobody.

I dont mind them bottling in the semis either.:)

In the last 10 years, we've scored 5 once. But yeah, 6-0 against Middlesbrough, no problem.

I can't remember the last time we scored 6 in one game of the top of my head. I'll be happy with 1-0 win and keep the run going.

I'm quite happy being at home for the 1st leg. Whoever we get i fancy our chances at home, away goals do not count as double in the play offs so any kind of win puts our opponents under massive pressure. Just a case of "keeping our heads" in the 2nd leg. The pace in our team will always give us a chance away from home.

Call me a pessimist but i cant see us winning 8 on the spin (which may be required to get to the prem)

so i'd rather we lost on sun-for fate etc :icon_lol:

Personally, I hope for Cardiff in the semis then Blackpool in the final.

I dread to think of the mongfest if we play Forest in these things, especially if we lose.

Hmmm, do you want to have a think about this post and then correct yourself?

Hint: Sunderland and Scunthorpe at home.

It's been over 10 years since Sunderland, by just over a month. So I'd correct yourself :icon_bigg

Away goals don't count as double in the case of a draw - but the club that is home in the second leg has the massive advantage of being able to play an extra 30 minutes in front of their own fans if it comes to extra time.
